Hav Sum Fun

Hav Sum Fun

Barbara Nelson

Hopelands Gardens135 Dupree Place

This horse symbolizes the beauty of the South with a soft, but bold representation of the magnolia’s beautiful blossoms and strong friendly fragrance.
On each of Hav Sum Fun’s flanks are scenes from Aiken Training Track. On his left is a view from the rail, a furlong or so from the finish line with the landmark Live Oak tree clearly visible. On the right flank is a view from Two Notch Road, near the Steeplechase office, south towards the timer’s stand. Hall of Fame jockey silks and caps are placed colorfully along the rump, shoulders, and neck of the young race horse. His red saddle towel has emblems of the South Carolina Palmetto tree and moon.

Check out special edition horseplay jewelry by local silver smith, Danielle LoMonaco, in the Gallery Shop of Aiken Center for the Arts.
