This horse represents the city of Aiken, the state of South Carolina, and the U.S. with a variety of images, including the All-American City shield, Triple Crown and various other equine activities.
The horse was designed to show a contrast between events that occur in the Aiken area specifically relating to horsemanship. Emphasis is also placed on the Triple Crown events that happen in Aiken on an annual basis. The motifs displayed include palmetto leaves, a polo match in progress, fox hunting, the state motto, the Triple Crown shield, the All-American City shield, the Aiken shield. The horse also utilizes colors and symbols that represent the US and South Carolina flags.
